Color Me Well by Sherry Wilder

Lose me in blues that whisper words unformed,

In violet-ish shades of blue all quelled.

Unhinge my stress in azure light transformed.

Release me; with the iris let me meld.

So quench the uplit reds, all damask darks.

Unstring the crimson lavas beaded bright.

Pour out the splashy colors of red larks;

And break the seals on merlots stained full bright.

With noiseless whites let God unloose my bones.

Unloose the tethers strung for me inside.

Flood on the ashen crusted waves alone.

In milky painted snowscapes, let me hide.

Let only tender colors shade my hues;

For I have too much light for me to lose.
